Pumpkin Party

Saturday night we had a pumpkin party. The kids had a great time! I think it was Sophia & Lauren's first time to feel pumpkin guts, and they were both intrigued and mildly disgusted at the same time. Carson was too busy playing with toys to try it this year. Dylan & Evan carved their pumpkins also, along with Aunties Michelle & Marisa.

Pumpkin Patch

We had a fun day at the pumpkin patch last Saturday. We met Sandy, Jeremy, Dylan, and Evan for breakfast and then headed out to find our pumpkins. Sophia's Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Michelle, and Auntie Kora also met up with us at the pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful day and Sophia had a lot of fun with Dylan and Evan.

This Week

Today Sophia came with me to my checkup at the doctor's office. I am a little over 14 weeks. Today was the first day we got to hear the heartbeat of the new baby. Sophia thought it was pretty neat. I am feeling pretty good for the most part of the day. I usually start feeling a little icky, though, in the evening. It's a struggle to get motivated to cook dinner and clean up afterwards. It makes me pretty nauseous. Other than that, though, feeling good. I am still wearing my regular clothes which are getting too tight and uncomfortable - but my maternity clothes still look too big. So that's kind of annoying, but I'm sure I'll be getting bigger soon enough.

After the doctor's appointment Sophia and I went to ballet. She loves her little class and her two new little friends. It's so cute. Here is a pic from today:

In other exciting news, we are planting new grass in the back yard. Next spring we will hopefully have a nice lawn to play on without weeds and potholes to twist your ankle in!

Baby Ballet

Well, I wasn't going to put Sophia in a ballet class yet... But last Thursday while I was taking class she saw the Baby Ballet class going on in the other room and loved it. So, needless to say, she got to do class today when my class was finished. Daddy ended up getting home early enough to go too! She LOVED it! Although, at times I could tell she was realizing that it's not real ballet like the big girls do. But she still went along with what the teacher asked her to do. The class is for one- and two-year olds, the parents join in, and it is only 30 minutes long. Perfect for that age.

Here she is waiting for class to begin
Listening to the teacher
Stretching our legs
And of course, dancing with a sparkly wand
