Easter Day

Easter morning was great. The kids found their baskets and DUG IN! Sophia is not big on sweets, so she was excited for her books and other treats. But Griffin Boy is such a junk food junkie! He had most of his chocolate bunny eaten in about 10 minutes!
Griffin also received a pack of Big Boy undies! Thomas & friends, of course. He loves them.

From Mom and Dad (since it wouldn't fit in a basket) - a new Little People Noah's Ark set. They are both really enjoying it.

Griffin loved his undies so much he kept saying "cheeeeese" so I would keep taking his picture!

Our pretty girl received some new sparkly headbands and stick-on earrings. Two of my favorites as a little girl.

We got cleaned up, dressed, and headed out to church. After mass we went to Don & Deniece's. The kids had treats there as well. It was nice that my Mom joined us there for dinner also. Sure made it easy on us!

So after hours of candy and excitement, what do you do with two little ones? Turn on Thomas and get out the TV ears! They had some much needed down-time.

After the break we had an indoor Easter egg hunt. Sophia found the golden egg with $20 inside!

It was a lovely time with our family. Happy Easter to all!

Easter Eggs

We colored our eggs on Friday evening. The kids loved it and were very serious about it, too!

We webcammed with Grandma and Grandpa so they could share in the fun.

There was much less of a mess than I expected, so I had a great time as well! Happy Easter!

Birthday Season

It is birthday season in this family! Griffin just had his birthday (as well as his Grandma Deniece) and Sophia's is the last weekend in May. But it seems like there are a million birthdays in between. I'm sure every post in the next month will be about someone's birthday. This one is about my cute nephew Carson's 4th birthday. Hopefully my other sweet nephew Baby Don will soon have a post about his Birth Day!

His mom and dad surprised him with a pair of goldfish! He was so excited about each gift. It was a lot of fun to watch.

Griffin was pretty cool watching with his hands in his pockets.

He's been very clingy to me lately. He had to take his hand

out of his pocket for a little bit to just hold mine.

My kids LOVE the Barbie Jeep. Lauren and Carson are

so good at sharing and letting our kids have a lot of turns.

It was such a nice time - and SUNNY to top it off!

Griffin's Birthday Party!

Party Details

Everyone knows by now that I love to plan a party! Here are some of the little details from Griffin's 2nd birthday bash.

I hung this dump truck on the front door.

The treat bags each had a helium balloon tied to them. What kid doesn't love a balloon!

I'm already thinking about Sophia's party details. I'm an addict!

Deniece's Birthday Celebration

My mother-in-law had a milestone birthday this year so we thought we should put together a nice party for her. She loves daffodils, anything and everything miniature, and angel food cake (oh, and doilies too!). So I tried to deliver a little bit of everything. Here is the dessert table including angel food cake drizzled with icing and topped with strawberries (the way she likes it), angel food cupcakes, dark chocolate covered cake bites, and champagne of course!

And a cute shot with 2 of her girls. We had mini-shrimp cocktails, mini crab cakes, and other little appetizers. For the main course Nick grilled steaks, mini shells & cheese (she loves homemade mac & cheese so I gave it a try), salad and a few other sides.

It was nice to celebrate such a great lady. Happy Birthday, Deniece!

Just Too Cute

Our little boy is just too cute. We had a fun day at home, then decided to celebrate Griffin's birthday at Red Robin, followed by a quick haircut at Jack & Jill's, then home to open a gift. Happy Birthday, Dear Griffin!

My sweet little baby boy is two today! What a perfect little guy he is. Everyday he brings more joy than I could have ever imagined. I love this age. He knows how to put on a show and get a laugh, he is still so snuggly and lovey, and is doing so much on his own. My favorite thing he has been doing the last week or two is asking us if we're okay. If I say ouch or shoot or if something crashes or falls, Griffin is the first one to check in with "okay?" in his sweet little baby voice. I love it!

This morning he got to eat his favorite breakfast (blueberry eggo with butter) on the couch while watching his favorite cartoon, Thomas. Great start to his special day! Happy Birthday, Griff!

A few weekends ago we had a lovely baby shower for Marisa in Olympia and the next day went up to Seattle to meet all her Aunts for a lovely luncheon. Here are the pictures.

March Pictures

Kimberly and Abigail came down to visit a few times this month. So we had lots of time for the cousins to play at Grandma and Grandpa's.

Abigail think Sophia is amazing with her bubble blowing skills. Griffin needed a little trim. Such a big boy!

Then he got so sleepy he had to crawl up in his Grandpa's bed to get a little shut-eye!

This past weekend we had a baby shower for Marisa and Baby Don (due May 10th). It was a great party. I did the cake and the banners, Kim always has the vision! Pretty good team! Marisa looks so adorable.

Abigail gave me the biggest, cheesiest smile possible, I think!
